The academy is located in Kings Point, New York, on the northern shore of Long Island. All students train in subject areas related to shipping and transportation. Students who attend USMMA have their room, board and tuition covered, but they will have at least a five year service requirement upon graduation. Applicants need a letter of nomination from a member of the U.S. Congress.
