Mike Doyle is a former writer for ThoughtCo who contributed articles about the sport of skiing for over nine years. Mike grew up in the snow country of New York state. After skiing almost every resort in the East, he spent two years in Europe during his military service and visited the continent's most popular ski slopes. Mike received the 2007 North American Snowsports Journalists Association's Harold S. Hirsch Award for Internet Writing. He is a member of the Eastern Ski Writers Association, the North American Snowsports Journalists Association, and the International Sports Press Association. Mike also provides commentary as an expert on snow skiing and other snow sports through his company Doyle and Doyle Communications. He also contributes articles to Powder, The Skier's Magazine, and Liftopia.com.
Mike Doyle earned a masters degree from State University of New York Empire State College and a Bachelor Arts degree from Siena College.
