Mike Durrett

With a background in journalism and comedy, Mike Durrett was the About.com Guide to Web Humor from 1998-2009.

In addition to covering comedy on the web for over a decade, Mike Durrett has served many roles through the years: class clown, columnist, radio mouth and programmer, actor, film projectionist, and gag writer (for Joan Rivers, plus deejays throughout North America, including Howard Stern and Gary Owens). Mike starred in the 1995 Golden Twinkies Awards' "Best Comedy" film (World Premiere: Grauman's Chinese Theatre!) and scripts, directs, and mugs in home movie comedies. He fittingly joined About.com on April Fool's Day 1998.

Mike majored in journalism at Georgia State University.
