Do you need a miracle to find a new job? Powerful prayers—those that are made with complete faith, and with the confidence that God can perform miracles—can help you during your job search. Through prayer, you can invite God and his messengers (angels) to assist you in whatever situation you are facing.

Pray for Opportunities

When you are struggling to find a job it can seem like there are no opportunities out there—or at least no opportunities for you. When you pray to God, ask him directly to open doors for you and lead you to better circumstances. Knowing that there are more opportunities to be found will help give you strength in the face of rejection:

"God, please send the miraculous breakthrough I need to get a new job soon! Guide me to opportunities to network with the right people, learn about the right job openings to apply for, and figure out how best to develop my skills so I'll be prepared for my next job. Empower me to perform well at my job interviews. Give me favor with the people who are considering who to hire for any jobs that are good matches for me. Please open doors for me to get a good job offer soon, with the type of work I want to do and the salary and benefits I need."

Pray for Confidence

Looking for a new job can take a toll on your confidence, especially if you encounter a lot of rejection. It is important, though, that you keep up your confidence, no matter how dismal your prospects may seem. Ask God to instill in you the self-assurance you need to keep your chin up during your job search:

"Dear God, you know how much I need a new job—both for the financial income, and the opportunities it would provide to use the talents you've given me to help make the world a better place. You also know, God, how hard I’ve tried to find a job. But so far, all of the hard work I've done during my job search hasn't led to any job offers. All I've found, despite all the time and energy I've spent looking for employment, is rejection. I'm frustrated, my confidence has been shaken, and I'm worried about my future."

Have Faith

Trust in God that he will guide you through the obstacles you encounter as you search for a new job. Remember always to be grateful and thank God for providing for your needs. Even as you struggle it is important to recognize what God has done for you in the past and what he will do for you in the future. Your faith in his abiding love and generosity will see you through this difficult time:

"I believe that there are no limits to what you can do for people who trust you. Thank you for always providing for my needs. I look forward to walking through the doors you will open for me to start working at a new job."
