"Moments" is a Christian poem filled with strong reminders of God's loving, faithful presence in times of sorrow and despair.

In moments of my deepest sorrow
When I'm tempted to despair,
You remind me that you love me
Proving that you're always there.

In moments when life feels empty
As I'm drowning in the rain,
You reach out to save me
Healing my deepest pain.

In moments when I feel lost
As the waves crash over me,
You cling to me with all your might
Protecting me in the raging sea.

In moments when I want to quit
You help me to believe,
You open my blind eyes
That I may truly see ...

In a moment of great love
You sacrificed your perfect Son,
Redeeming me from sin's grasp
To call me your precious one.

In moments of pain and sorrow
I will not give up, nor despair,
Because in your mighty love
You've proven you're always there.

This poem called “A Moment” encourages readers to remember the impact that seemingly small moments can have.

A Moment

As this life, I travel through
I want to touch a very few
To make a difference in their lives,
But where do I begin?
Where do I begin?

It's not with days, forgotten soon,
Because people don't remember days.
But, they do remember moments.
Yes, they do remember moments.

To make a difference, not forgotten
A moment I must give.
A splendid moment, so strong and real
That moment won't blend in.

Like a smile that happens in a flash,
But the memory, it lives on.
Or a touch, or a word, or a wink so small,
No sound is ever heard.
But the memory, it lives on.
Yes, the memory, it lives on.

Little things, they matter much.
Days forgotten soon.
Give in moments.
They endure.
They, alone, live on!

Little things, they matter much.
Days forgotten soon.
Give in moments.
They endure.
They, alone, live on!

Bible Verses About Moments in the Presence of God

Psalm 16:11 (ESV)

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Isaiah 46:4 (NLT)

I will be your God throughout your lifetime— until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.

John 14:15–17 (ESV)

"If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you."

2 Corinthians 4:7-12; 16-18 (NIV)

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body. So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
