Each one is sure to offer up plenty of excitement for the adventurous Mustang enthusiast. The Henry Ford Museum Ford Mustang Prototype. The museum features a tour that is open seven days a week, year round, 9:30 a.m. -5:00 p.m. Be sure to check out the new Driving America exhibit which features some amazing cars, including the original Mustang prototype. You can follow his exact chase scene route, or drive by his apartment. A bit of advice. I’ve heard the self guided tour is even better if you’re driving a Highland Green 1968 GT390! Telstar Mustang, Cobra, & Shelby Museum Telstar Mustang, Cobra, & Shelby Museum. While you’re there, you can browse through the various restored Mustangs for sale. Who knows, you might go home with a new ride! It's the perfect place to stop after a long day on the road. The museum features an immaculate 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, as well as a 2006 "Stallion" Chip Foose Mustang. Of note, the Stallion on display was the first one produced, and is listed as number #001. Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum. Stop by the NHRA Motorsports museum, which features an impressive array of vintage and historical racing vehicles –- nearly 50 at the Grand Opening -- along with photographs, trophies, helmets and driving uniforms, artifacts, paintings, and other memorabilia chronicling more than 50 years of American motorsports. Attend a Mustang Grand National Show The 2015 Mustang Club of America Grand National will be in Columbus, Ohio. The event runs September 3rd September 6th. If you attend, be prepared to be surrounded by all things Mustang for several action packed days of fun in the sun. Each summer Mustangers from around the country converge upon the town to celebrate all things Mustang. This year’s event, taking place over the Labor Day Holiday weekend, will once again feature a show and shine car show, a poker run, giveaways, a Mustang parade, and more. Ford Racing Driving School will be on hand to offer up Mustang ride alongs. Drag racing time trials will take place at Sturgis Dragway. Attend Mustang Week Mustang Week.
