New Saint Andrews College Description:

With its strong Christian identity and single course of study, New Saint Andrews College is not for everyone. This small, young college (founded in 1994) is located in a historic neighborhood of Moscow, Idaho. The University of Idaho is just a couple blocks away, and Washington State University is a few miles down the road. Students live and dine in Moscow, so they won't find the residence halls, recreation facilities, and dining halls typical of most colleges. New Saint Andrews' approach to learning is modeled after Harvard's curriculum of the 17th century, and all students participate in small group recitations and take oral exams. The great books curriculum includes two years of Latin and two years of Greek. Since its founding, the college has become well regarded among Christian colleges, colleges for home-schooled students, and conservative colleges (although the curriculum is "liberal" in the true sense of the word). The value is also exceptional with total costs about half what many similar schools charge. Even with fewer than 200 students, the college draws from 35 states and 8 countries.
