Nicholas McLaren

Ever since his first diving experience on the beautiful tropical island of Phi Phi, Thailand, Nicholas has been obsessed with the underwater world. His obsession has taken him all around the world teaching others to dive as he continues to seek out new diving adventures.


As a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, SSI Dive Control Specialist Instructor and Emergency First Response Instructor, Nicholas has taught diving all around the world. He originally learned to dive in Thailand and did most of his training in Australia before becoming an Instructor in Honduras. He was worked as a Divemaster, Dive Instructor, Underwater Videographer and Dive Center Manager in Australia, Honduras, Mexico, Egypt, and Thailand and has dived extensively throughout North America, Central America, the Caribbean, Egypt, Japan, Australasia, and South-East Asia. Nicholas has taught all levels of divers from beginner to professional and also teaches 17 different specialties, along with CPR and First Aid.


Nicholas completed Open Water and Advanced Open Water on Phi Phi Island, Thailand before continuing his dive education in Sydney, Australia by completing a number of specialty courses, Emergency First Response, Rescue Diver, and the Divemaster course. He became a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (and instructor of 17 specialties), Emergency First Response Instructor, and DAN Instructor on Utila, Honduras and later became a SSI Dive Control Specialist Instructor back where it all began on Phi Phi Island, Thailand.
