Northeastern State University Description:

Northeastern State University is a four-year, public university in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, with additional locations in Muskogee and Broken Arrow. Tulsa is about an hour's drive to the west of campus. NSU supports about 9,000 students with a student / faculty ratio of 19 to 1 on its campus. The university has a total of 56 undergraduate majors and 21 graduate programs between the College of Business & Technology, College of Extended Learning, College of Optometry, College of Liberal Arts, College of Science & Health Professions, College of Education, and Graduate College.

To stay active outside of the classroom, NSU students can choose from numerous intramural sports, an active Greek life, and over 80 student clubs and organizations, including the Northeastern State Anime Club, an Underground Graphics club, and the Animation and Recreational Gaming Society. When it comes to intercollegiate athletics, the NSU RiverHawks compete in the NCAA Division II Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA), with sports including football, softball, and men’s and women’s golf.
