Norway Women's Alpine Ski Racing Team

It seems the Norwegian CC ski team gets all the glory up that way, and it must be the big draw for talented women skiers because there's just not a lot of Norwegian women podium chasers in the alpine disciplines. To illustrate that, there were no Norwegian women on any World Cup or FIS World Ski Championship podiums in the 2013 season and it will take more than ringing cowbells to see any on the Sochi podiums.

Mona Loeseth

At the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, Mona Loeseth was 21st in the super G, 13th in the Super Combined, 46th in the Downhill, DNF2 in the Slalom and DNF1 in the Giant Slalom. At the 2013 World Ski Championships in Schladming, Austria, Mona Loeseth was 25th in the Giant Slalom and DNF1 in the Slalom event and in the 2009 World Championships in Val d' Isere, France, Loeseth was DNF1 in the Slalom.

Nina Loeseth

Nina Loeseth has yet to race in Olympic Winter Games competition. At the 2013 World Ski Championships in Schladming, Austria, she was 35th in the Giant Slalom and DNF in the Slalom event. In the 2009 World Championships in Val d' Isere, France, Loeseth was DNF1 in the Slalom and at Are, Sweden, in 2007 Loeseth finished 10th in the Slalom and 30th in the Giant Slalom.

Ragnhild Mowinckel

Ragnhild Mowinckel has yet to race in Olympic Winter Games competition. At the 2013 World Ski Championships in Schladming, Austria, Ragnhild Mowinckel was 17th in the Super Combined, 21st in the Giant Slalom, 27th in the Downhill, DNF in super G and in the Slalom event.

Ragnhild Mowinckel has been selected as a 2013 Longines Risking Ski Star.

Lotte Smiseth Sejersted has yet to race in Olympic Winter Games competition. At the 2013 World Ski Championships in Schladming, Austria, Lotte Smiseth Sejersted was 13th in the super G, 21st in the Downhill, 30th in Giant Slalom and DNF2 in the Super Combined. In the 2011 World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, Sejersted finished 10th in the Super Combined, was DNF in the Downhill and DNF1 in the super G.
