The school has over 100 years of history -- it was chartered in 1911 as a women's college, the College of St. Mary of the Springs. Today it is a comprehensive co-educational university. The main campus sits on 75 wooded acres ten minutes from downtown Columbus. Students will find shopping, dining, an cultural opportunities nearby. ODU provides students with an intimate learning environment -- the school's roughly 2,6000 students are supported by a healthy 14 to 1 student / faculty ratio. The university offers undergraduate degrees in 45 majors as well as 11 graduate degree programs.
