Discussion of Palm Beach Atlantic University's Admissions Standards:

Palm Beach Atlantic University's tropical location, Christian-centered education, and focus on community makes it a place where students who are a good match for the school tend to be self-selecting. The great majority of applicants to Palm Beach Atlantic University get in, but you will need solid grades and standardized test scores to be admitted. As the graph above shows, most accepted students (the green and blue dots) had SAT scores (RW+M) of 950 or higher, and ACT composite score of 18 or higher, and a high school average of B or better. A few students got in with grades or test scores below these ranges, but you'll also notice a few students who were either wait listed (yellow dots) or rejected (red dots) with scores above these numbers. You'll also see that plenty of strong students with "A" averages attend PBA. If you are a strong student, it is definitely worth looking into the school's Honors Program with its special courses, small classes, travel opportunities, and living/learning environment in the Weyenberg Honors House.

Palm Beach Atlantic University has holistic admissions and makes decisions based on more than numbers. The university is looking for students who will contribute to the school's Christ-centered community in meaningful ways. PBA values community service and volunteerism, so applicants who can demonstrate their interest in helping others will strengthen their applications. The application includes an essay, and like most colleges, Palm Beach Atlantic will be impressed if you have successfully competed a rigorous high school curriculum that includes AP, IB, Honors and/or Dual Enrollment courses.
