The university offers over 65 degree programs, mostly at the bachelor's and master's level. As a member of the Pennsylvania State University system, Penn State Harrisburg also allows students to complete the first two years of the 160 baccalaureate majors offered throughout the system. Professional fields such as engineering, business, and education are among the most popular areas of study. The campus serves a large commuter population, but it does have residential facilities for about 400 students. The university also offers many continuing education and online options.
