Discussion of Quinnipiac's Admissions Standards:

Quinnipiac University admissions are moderately selective, and applicants will need solid grades and standardized test scores to be admitted. In 2015, roughly one in every four applicants did not get in. In the graph above, the blue and green dots represent accepted students. You can see that most students who got into Quinnipiac University had high school averages of "B" or higher, SAT scores (RW+M) above 1000, and ACT composite scores of 20 or higher. Scores a little above these lower ranges will improve your changes measurably. Many successful applicants had solid "A" averages.

Note that a significant number of students with solid grades and test scores did not get into Quinnipiac University. There are quite a few yellow dots (waitlisted students) and red dots (rejected students) mixed in with the blue and green throughout the graph. On the flip side, you'll notice that some students got in with grades and test scores that are a little below the norm. This is because Quinnipiac has holistic admissions whether applicants use the Common Application or the college's own application. Applicants will be evaluated on the rigor of their course work, and they will need to submit an essay and letters of recommendation. Quinnipiac is also interested in seeing meaningful involvement in extracurricular activities.
