The Olympic games can always be counted on to give us a few funny new web memes. Who could ever forget McKayla Maroney's "Not Impressed" face, or Ashley Wagner's "OMG WTF just happened" reaction shot?

As usual, the start of the much-anticipated (and much-maligned) 2016 summer Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, caused the world, and most importantly, the internet, to start cranking out jokes and web memes. Between Rio's well-documented crime issues, their political and pollution problems, the Zika virus, and the fallout of that whole Russian doping scandal, this year's games are especially rife for riffing!  Here's a look at some of the funniest Rio Olympics memes so far.

During the parade of nations at the Opening Ceremony, a shirtless, oiled-up 32 year-old Tongan flag bearer named Pita Taufatofua stole the show. Did we mention that he was shirtless? And really, really slippery? And... also a male model in addition to being an Olympic Taekwondo champion?

I'LL BE IN MY BUNK.

Almost immediately, the "Angry Michael Phelps" meme began to circulate on Twitter.
