Discussion of Rowan's Admissions Standards:

In 2015, 71% of Rowan University applicants were admitted. The majority of successful applicants have high school averages and SAT/ACT scores that are at least a little above average. In the scattergram above, the blue and green dots represent students who were offered admission. Admitted applicants typically had SAT scores (RW+M) of 1050 or higher, an ACT composite of 21 or higher, and a high school average in the "B" range or better. A significant percentage of applicants have grades up in the "A" range.

In the middle of the graph you can see that the red (rejected), yellow (waitlisted), blue and green dots overlap. A few students who seemed to be on target for Rowan were rejected, while others who were below the norm managed to get in. This is because Rowan University has holistic admissions and makes decisions based on more than numerical data. To quote from the university's admissions website, Rowan University "selects candidates who will be academically successful, contribute to student life and benefit most from the Rowan experience." All Rowan applicants must submit letters of recommendation, and applicants' extracurricular activities and work experiences can also strengthen their applications.
