Rudri Bhatt Patel is an attorney turned writer and editor. Prior to attending law school, she graduated with an M.A. in English with an emphasis in creative writing. She is the co-founder and co-editor of The Sunlight Press, and her work has appeared in The Washington Post, Civil Eats, Saveur, Dame Magazine, Brain, Child Magazine, ESPN, Role Reboot, Phoenix New Times, and elsewhere. She is currently working on a memoir on grief and the Hindu culture.

Rudri Bhatt Patel earned her J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law. She also holds an M.A. in English and a B.S. in Political Science.
