Raleigh is home to several other colleges: Meredith College, North Carolina State University, Shaw University and William Peace University. SAU is affiliated with the Episcopal Church, and the 105-acre campus is both smoke- and alcohol-free. Students can choose from 25 majors offered through the university's six schools: Applied Health and Medical Science; Business and Technology; Continuing Education; Liberal Arts and Education; Sciences, Mathematics and Engineering; and Social and Behavioral Sciences.
