Saint John's University is a private Catholic university for men located in Collegeville, a small town in central Minnesota. Saint John's has a strong partnership with the nearby College of Saint Benedict, a women's college. The two schools share a single curriculum, and classes are co-educational. Saint John's has an impressive 2,700-acre campus that includes wetlands, lakes, prairie, forest, and hiking trails. Students receive a lot of personal attention -- the university has a 12 to 1 student / faculty ratio and a median class size of 20. The university has high retention and graduation rates, and the school also has strong job and graduate school placement rates. In athletics, the Saint John's Johnnies compete in the NCAA Division III Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
