If your SAT scores fall within or above the ranges shown in the table above, you're on target for admission when it comes to standardized testing. Even if your scores are a little lower than the 25% numbers, don't panic. Keep in mind that a quarter of all admitted students were in the same position.

It's also important to keep the SAT and ACT in perspective. Standardized test scores matter, but they aren't the most important part of your application. The most heavily weighted piece of your application will be your academic record. Universities will want to see that you have earned solid grades in challenging college preparatory classes. Success in AP, IB, Honors, and Dual Enrollment classes are an added bonus, for these courses do an excellent job demonstrating your college readiness.

Also, some of the schools in the Missouri Valley Conference have holistic admissions, so non numerical measures can also play a role in the admissions equation.

winning essay, meaningful extracurricular activities, a strong college interview, and good letters of recommendation will improve your chances of getting in at some schools.

Note that Illinois State University doesn't post SAT scores because nearly all applicants take the ACT. To see how your SAT scores compare to ACT scores, you can use this ACT to SAT conversion table.

If you click on a university's name in the table above, you'll be taken to an admissions profile that includes other admissions stats, general school information, costs, financial aid data, graduation rates, and more. The "see graph" links on the right will take you to graphs of GPA, SAT and ACT data for students who were admitted, rejected, and wait listed from the school. The graphs are a good way to get a more full picture of how you measure up than you can get from SAT data alone.
