You've taken the SAT, and have gotten your scores back. Now what? The table below can help guide you as you try to identify Iowa colleges and universities that are a match for your test scores. You'll see that admissions standards vary greatly from schools that accept most students to those that are looking for scores that are well above average.

The scores in the table are for the middle 50% of enrolled students. If your scores fall within or above these ranges, you're on target for admission to one of these Iowa colleges. Keep in mind that 25% of enrolled students have SAT scores below those listed.

Also remember that SAT scores are just one part of the application. At many of these Iowa colleges, the admissions officers will also want to see a strong academic record, a winning essay, meaningful extracurricular activities and good letters of recommendation.

Note that the ACT is much more popular in Iowa than the SAT. For this reason, some colleges don't report SAT scores.
