Italy Women's Alpine Ski Racing Team

Italy's Alpine Ski Racing Women's Team is a mix of journeyman racers and youngsters still chasing a World Cup podium. No big standout in recent seasons, but Denise Karbon has had some good years, actually winning 5 of the 7 Giant Slalom races in 2008 and the GS crown that year and Manuela Moelgg has also had her share of GS podiums but never on the top step.

In 2013 Nadia Fanchini brought her A game to the FIS World Ski Championships and took a silver medal while Daniela Merighetti managed the only World Cup podium in 2013 picking up a silver medal. All in all the team will be skiing hard but the Sochi podium might be a bit of a stretch.
