Southern Oregon University Description:

Southern Oregon University is a public liberal arts university located on an attractive 175-acre campus in Ashland, Oregon. Outdoor lovers will appreciate the school's proximity to hiking, skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, and whitewater rafting. Outside magazine ranked Ashland among the top towns in the country because of its active arts community, recreational opportunities, vineyards, and beautiful location. Students at SOU can choose from 35 majors and over 100 areas of study. Pre-professional areas such as business, communications and criminal justice are among the most popular, but the university's location also makes it a great choice for fields like environmental studies and outdoor adventure leadership.
