<p>St. Lawrence University is a small liberal arts university with primarily an undergraduate focus. The university is located just 15 miles from the St. Lawrence River. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places and is home to classrooms as well as faculty offices.</p><p>The Sullivan Student Center is a bustling space on the St. Lawrence University campus. The large building is home to several dining areas, the Campus Mail Center, student organizations, and the offices of many student life officers.</p><p>St. Lawrence University&#39;s park-like campus explodes with flowers in the spring. This photo shows an entrance to Sykes Residence Hall, the largest residence unit at the university. The building is home to International House, Scholars Floor, Intercultural Floor and a common room that is frequently used for lectures and concerts. The building adjoins Dana Dining Hall.</p><p>This aerial photograph shows the St. Lawrence University athletic facilities. When the campus is buried in snow, students can still keep fit -- the large fitness center and field house offer five indoor tennis courts and basketball courts, a 133-station fitness center, and a six-lane track. Most intercollegiate sports teams compete in the NCAA Division III Liberty League, although the Saints ice hockey team is Division I.</p><p>Azure Mountain in the Adirondacks is under an hour from the St. Lawrence University campus. The mountain is a popular destination for class field trips and student hikers.</p><p>Here students conduct experiments in a biology class. Biology is the most popular of the sciences offered at St. Lawrence University.</p><p>The Newell Center for Arts and Technology, or the NCAT for short, is a facility dedicated to state-of-the-art interdisciplinary arts technology. The NCAT occupies part of two floors in St. Lawrence University&#39;s Noble Center.</p><p>Dana Dining Center offers students 84 different entrees each week. Herring-Cole was built in 1870 as the university&#39;s library. Today the building is used for lectures, receptions, seminars, and archival exhibitions.</p><p>In springtime, lilacs line some of the paths that crisscross the St. Lawrence University campus.</p><p>Housing about 300 students, Sykes is the largest residence hall on the St. Lawrence University campus.</p><p><em>Kitagunitei</em>, the North Country garden, is located in the inner courtyard of Sykes Residence Hall. This Zen garden is used by classes in the humanities and sciences as well as by students seeking a quiet place for reflection and meditation.</p><p>Even with a little snow on the ground, students can be found biking around the St. Lawrence University campus. St. Lawrence has a bike loan program operated through the libraries -- students sign out a bike just like they would a piece of computer equipment.
