The building is home to International House, Scholars Floor, Intercultural Floor and a common room that is frequently used for lectures and concerts. When the campus is buried in snow, students can still keep fit -- the large fitness center and field house offer five indoor tennis courts and basketball courts, a 133-station fitness center, and a six-lane track. Herring-Cole was built in 1870 as the university's library. St. Lawrence has a bike loan program operated through the libraries -- students sign out a bike just like they would a piece of computer equipment.
