A product of independent schools myself, I have enjoyed giving back to the independent school world as a faculty member and administrator. My career has focused on institutional advancement, with five years of admission experience and nearly a decade in marketing and communications.
In addition to serving in administrative roles in both admission and communications, I have held numerous positions ranging from high school student newspaper advisor and middle school yearbook advisor, to teaching middle school public speaking and digital photography, and being a high school student advisor. Having worked in both day and boarding schools with grades ranging from PK-12/PG, I have had the opportunity to serve as an advisor to both high school and middle school students, as well as student clubs.
This site is an opportunity for me to share the ins and outs of the private school world, and help families, students, job seekers, and philanthropists better understand these unique educational institutions. From advice on the student and even teacher application processes to understanding academics and athletics, and even how to run a school, we've got all the information you need.
