Stephen Chapman is a former writer for ThoughtCo, focusing on computer science for approximately seven years. He has been programming computers since the late 1970s, performing a wide variety of different computer programming jobs, and using a range of different languages including JavaScript. Stephen is currently a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer for SEI Financial Services, with over 20 years experience in software consulting and developing. He is co-owner and founder of Ask Felgall, a software consultancy business based in Australia since 1994. 


Stephen has a bachelor's degree in computer science from North Carolina State University and is an Oracle 9i Certified Associate (OCA), and a Workplace Training and Assessment Certificate IV (the main adult teaching qualification in Australia).
