The 173-acre main campus is located in Stephenville, Texas, about an hour away from Fort Worth. The university has outreach programs in Forth Worth, Midlothian Weatherford, and Waco as well as many online options. Tarleton offers over 65 undergraduate programs, over 20 graduate programs, and two associate degree programs. Professional fields in agriculture, nursing, and business are among the most popular majors, and the university can boast of the third largest agricultural program from non-land grant universities in the nation. Academics at Tarleton are supported by a 20 to 1 student / faculty ratio. Tarleton students have no difficulty staying active outside of the classroom: the campus is home to over 120 student clubs and organizations, as well as recreational sports such as Wallyball, disk golf, and rock climbing. On the intercollegiate front, the Tarleton State Texans compete in the NCAA Division II Lone Star Conference (LSC). The university fields five men's and seven women's intercollegiate sports. One of the biggest organizations on campus is the Tarleton Rodeo Association, which has won six national championship titles. With 120 student members, Tarleton has one of the largest rodeo teams in the United States.
