Discussion of Taylor University's Admissions Standards: Although Taylor University has a relatively high acceptance rate, admissions are moderately selective, and successful applicants tend to have grades and standardized test scores that are at least a little above average. In the graph above, the blue and green dots represent students who won admission. Most had SAT scores of 1100 or higher, an ACT composite of 22 or higher, and a high school average of a "B" or better. Note that the majority of admitted students had grades up in the "A" range. If your grades or test scores aren't quite up to par, keep in mind that Taylor University has holistic admissions and makes decisions based on more than numbers. The Taylor application requires an application essay focused on your relationship with Jesus Christ or your interest in the university's discipleship community. Taylor is also interested in your honors, awards, work experiences, and extracurricular activities. Finally, Taylor will want to see positive letters of recommendation from your guidance counselor and Pastor.
