"Don't Hold Back": The Budweiser Commercial Song

The song "Galvanize" was featured in a well-known Budweiser commercial. It is a popular techno song that won a Grammy Award for the best dance recording

The British electronic music duo published the song on their 2005 album that was titled, Push the Button. It was a top-ranking song in Australia and Spain. The song featured the artist known as Q-Tip who was from A Tribe Called Quest. Part of the song also features a  snippet of the song "Leave Home," which was also produced by The Chemical Brothers.

In the Budweiser commercial, "Band," advertises Bud Select. The crown logo is shown on an art gallery chair, motorcycle tire treads, someone's spiked hair, a cue stick bridge, a rug, frying pan oil, paint splattered on a canvas, and a band leaving into the light of a door. It was also featured in the ad called "Veranda," which also advertised Bud Select and featured the brand's logo on ski pole baskets, a skyline, motorcycle tire treads, and a napkin. Notably, many people went nuts trying to identify the song after hearing it in the advertisement, after it was so well-received.

In addition to being featured in the Anheuser-Busch commercials, "Galvanized" was also used as part of NBC's Sunday Night Football coverage in 2008.

More About Techno Music

Techno music got its start during the 1980s in Detroit, Michigan. It is a fusion of African-American music including electric jazz, Chicago house, electro, and funk music. It is a repetitive instrumental music that is commonly mixed and played by DJs. The tempo of techno music is about 120 to 150 beats per minute of music. Synthesizers, digital audio and drum machines are indicative of this type of music. 

Network Records was the label that introduced Detroit techno to British audiences. It began to develop a large underground following in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. It was prominently featured in the rave scene at the time. Interest in the United States was limited, which is why the music really took off overseas with acts like Carl Craig, Kenny Larkin and Stacey Pullen continuing it. By 1993, the club scene began to diminish and Berlin remained the capital of techno music in Berlin.
