Learn the Japanese Word Toku

The common Japanese verb toku, pronounced "toe-coo", means "to untie", "to undo", "to unfasten", or "to loosen". Depending on the context, it may also mean "so solve", "to answer", "to cancel", "to release", "to discharge", or "to remove."
