Tom Head, a historian who specializes in religion, ethics, and social issues, has written more than 25 nonfiction books, including "Civil Liberties: A Beginner's Guide." Head writes video scripts on philosophy and pop culture for Wisecrack, a popular YouTube channel with nearly 2.4 million subscribers. He has served on the board of the Mississippi ACLU. Head is also an award-winning columnist for the Jackson Free Press and wrote 123 articles over the course of nearly nine years for ThoughtCo.

Education

Tom Head holds a doctorate in religion and society from Edith Cowan University as well as a Master of Arts in humanities from California State University, Dominguez Hills. He has also completed graduate-level coursework in counseling psychology at Mississippi College and in theological studies at Spring Hill College.
