The Top Christian Songs of 2008

2008 was a great year in Christian music. Excellent new music came from new faces and old favorites. The Top 40 Christian Hits of 2008 comes from charts like R&R, Billboard and is based on how many weeks any given song stayed in the Top 10.

With 20 weeks in the Top 10, this song was definitely a hit for West. Off of his release, Something To Say, Matthew West has a great deal to say after successful vocal cord surgery. This album isn't simply food for thought ... it's food for your spirit and your soul.

Jeremy and wife Adrienne hit every note on this beautiful pop/rock tune, making it one of the best from the CD (which is excellent in itself). "Let it Fade" spent 16 weeks in the Top 10, allowing it to hold onto #2 easily.

This Steven Curtis Chapman song is off of This Moment, and it's sure to be any parent's favorite because we all have those "Cinderella" moments with our kids, where we take the time to smell the flowers and soak up the joy that God puts into them.
