Trine University Description:

Founded in 1884, Trine University is a small private university located on a 400-acre campus in Angola, Indiana, a town in the northeastern corner of the state. Trine has a 15 to 1 student / faculty ratio, and the school's curriculum emphasizes practical, hands-on experiences. Professional fields within business and engineering are the most popular among undergraduates. Trine does well with financial aid, and the great majority of students receive some form of grant aid. The university also has an impressive job placement rate, and Trine frequently ranks highly among colleges in the Midwest. In athletices, the Trine Thunder compete in the NCAA Division III Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
