Un Canon

Unsurprisingly, the French word un canon is translated to mean precisely what you would assume it to mean: cannon or gun. But it is also commonly translated to mean "cylinder", as well as to mean a musical canon. Informally  un canon, pronounced "kah-no(n)", translates to mean great, or gorgeous.
