Admissions Chances The University of North Texas, which accepts fewer than three-quarters of applicants, has a somewhat selective admissions process. If your class rank and SAT/ACT scores fall within the school's minimum requirements, you have a strong chance of being admitted. Students who rank in the top 10% of their class, submit SAT or ACT scores, and apply by the priority deadline will be admitted automatically to UNT. Those who rank in the top 15% of their class and have a minimum SAT score of 1030 or an ACT composite score of 20 or above will also be guaranteed admission. Applicants with a lower class rank and higher SAT/ACT scores can also receive automatic admission to UNT. Students who do not qualify for guaranteed admission will have their applications reviewed by an admissions counselor who will make suggestions to improve the applicant's chances for admission.
