University of Mount Union Description:

Founded in 1846, the University of Mount Union is a liberal arts institution affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Since it first opened its doors, the university has taken pride in providing equal access to education without consideration of race, color, or sex. The 123-acre campus (with another 162-acre Nature Center) is located in Alliance, Ohio, a small city of 25,000 people located roughly midway between Pittsburgh and Cleveland. Despite it's name as a "university," the school has a largely undergraduate focus and has the feel of a traditional liberal arts college. Students hail from 31 states and 13 countries, although the majority come from the region. Mount Union is a residential campus with active student life. The university has over 80 student organizations as well as an active Greek scene. The university is home to four sororities and four fraternities.
