A metropolitan research institution, the University of Nebraska at Omaha is located in Omaha, Nebraska, and is a member of the University of Nebraska system. The University takes pride in both its graduate and undergraduate programs, and it is home to one of the finest computer science and engineering facilities in the area. Academics are supported by a 19 to 1 student / faculty ratio. With the growth of the university's residential population, student life has likewise grown and now includes a radio station and several fraternities and sororities. On the athletic front, UNO is currently transitioning into the NCAA Division I Summit League. The university's men's ice hockey team already competes in the Division I Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
