The school's 130-acre campus is located in the historic disrict of Florence, Alabama, a town on the Tennessee River. Students come from around the country and world, but UNA is largely a regional university with about 70% of students coming from Alabama. Students can choose from more than 60 majors with professional fields in business, education and nursing being most popular. Academic programs are supported by a 23 to 1 student / faculty ratio and an average class size of 25. High achieving students should look into the UNA Honors Program for access to special classes, travel opportunities, and the Honors Center.
