It was founded as a college of pharmacy in 1821, the first pharmacy school in North America. The 35-acre campus is situated in the heart of Philadelphia’s University City neighborhood, a center of education, research and culture just west of downtown Center City and home to five other colleges and universities. USciences is made up of five colleges, which collectively offer 25 bachelor’s, 13 master’s and 6 doctoral degrees. Popular among these programs are health science, biology, occupational therapy and pharmacy.
