Carrollton, with a population of around 25,000 is about 50 miles west of downtown Atlanta. Undergraduates have 59 programs from which to chose with preprofessional fields in nursing, education and business being some of the most popular. Students with strong GPAs, SAT scores or ACT scores should look into the Honors College which offers a curriculum with more emphasis on research and student initiative.
