Founded in 1888 as a small agricultural college, Utah State University is now a large comprehensive university that offers over 200 majors through its seven colleges. The university is located in the city of Logan, about 80 miles northeast of Salt Lake City. Academics at USU are supported by a 22 to 1 student / faculty ratio. Popular majors include accounting, business administration, journalism, engineering, and education.
