The answer to this question might seem obvious to frequent PowerPoint users, but not everyone knows just exactly which version of PowerPoint they are using. For example, some network administrators may have configured PowerPoint to start up without showing the initial splash screen. Older versions of PowerPoint look very much the same and likewise, PowerPoint 2007 and 2010 look very similar once you get into the program.
