Discussion of Wabash College's Admissions Standards Wabash College has moderately selective admissions. Over a third of all applicants will not be admitted, and those who get in tend to have grades and test scores that are at least a little above average. In the graph above, the blue and green dots represent students who won admission. Most had SAT scores (RW+M) of 1050 or higher, an ACT composite of 21 or higher, and a high school average of a "B+" or better. If you're a straight "A" student, you'll have plenty of company at Wabash. The school's impressive 10 to 1 student / faculty ratio and all-male identity make it unusual among American colleges, and it tends to draw attract strong students. Wabash admissions are holistic, and the college is looking for men who will be a good match for the school's personality and mission. While grades and standardized test scores are important, so are extracurricular activities and letters of recommendation. And whether you use the Wabash College application or the Common Application, you'll need to have a strong application essay. Wabash encourages applicants to submit their applications as early as possible, and as part of that effort, the college has three early application programs: Early Decision (a binding agreement) and Early Action I and Early Action II (non-binding agreements). If you are sure Wabash if your first-choice college, Early Decision is an attractive option. Not only does it demonstrate your interest in the college, but you'll receive a decision by mid-November, well before most colleges in the country. If you choose either of the Early Action options, you'll get your decision by the middle of December.
