Experience

As a freelance writer and editor since 2010, Yolisa's articles have appeared in print and online publications in the U.S., U.K., Australia, and South Africa. She covers topics ranging from social justice and art to finance, health, and travel. Yolisa believes in representation and hopes that all the subjects of her writing truly feel heard.

When it comes to fact-based articles she presents the information clearly and with no jargon so readers can make decisions easily. Since 2018, Yolisa has volunteered at SayYes Mentoring, an organization that helps youth make informed decisions about education. Currently splitting her time between Florida and Cape Town, Yolisa surfs with more enthusiasm than skill and thoroughly enjoys it.
